It’s nice for children to be able to play with their parents and share this experience cultivates family bonding, learning, and well-being.

As you may know, SKIDOS has launched Milk hunt school edition on android. It offers 3 features: Weekly reports, Practice offline, and add student profile. Milk Hunt is an award-winning game which encourages children to practice mental math while being engaged in a classic endless runner challenge. Designed to be adaptive and personalised for children to boost math scores and increase their affinity towards math. Kids would love play milk Hunt during Easter School holiday with their parents. Milk Hunt is played by thousands of families with kids in grades K-5 across the globe.

Kids and parents love playing Milk Hunt for:

2. Replacing casual gaming time on the phone with educational gaming time without compromising on the fun factor

3. Having fun and playing together as a family

4. Getting additional practice on what is taught in school.

The game is fun but at the same educational. Milk Hunt has a Math Lab section in which kids can choose their grade and topic to practice math. Milk Hunt has an intelligent and adaptive algorithm which tracks the progress of the child and identifies areas of strengths and weaknesses. These can be seen by tapping on the bar graph image in the math lab section. Parents and Teachers can also track the performance of the child over some time for each grade.

Parents playing video games with your kids has always a positive impact! Don’t miss this opportunity during the Easter School break. Kids are kids. They need adults to help them make meaning out of imaginative play, especially when it comes to activities that are steeped in mathematical thinking and challenge.

Happy Easter!!

Easter Fun for all the family!Happy Easter!!

From Easter egg hunts and family-friendly Sunday lunch locations to Easter themed crafts and ideas for rainy day activities, we have your Easter holidays sorted. You can always count on SKIDOS team for tonnes of suggestions for fabulous, fun activities to keep your children entertained over the holidays. Check out our ideas for free family activities, plus loads of crafts and games, both indoors and outdoors.

1. Celebrating Easter at home.

Holidays are great opportunities for us to spend time with our loved ones, enjoying the time together. Easter Sunday is no exception, and it’s a beautiful time to enjoy with your family. Make some plans with your loved ones to make your Easter together a great one. For example:

  • Invite your family and friends to share the holiday with you.
  • Ask your family and friends what they might like to do on your Easter together.

2.Making Easter Eggs

Easter-Eggs1Dyeing Easter eggs can be a fun way to spend time together with your family and make some great Easter decorations. However, before you can get started, you will need to gather a few key things. Review the following list of the necessary materials you will need to create dyed Easter eggs.

  • A cup to hold the dye.
  • A spoon or tongs for the eggs.
  • Hard-boiled eggs.
  • Liquid food colouring or egg dye.
  • Paper towels to let eggs dry on.
  • Optional decoration tools such as a clear wax crayon to draw designs on the eggs. The next following step is to prepare your eggs. Preparing your Easter eggs can make them last longer and prevent them from making a mess if they break. Before you get started doing your eggs, you will need to prepare them properly. Add water to a pot and place your eggs in the water, making sure the eggs are cover by about an inch.
    • Bring the water to a boil.
    • Remove the pot from the burner and add a cover.
    • Let the eggs sit for about 12 minutes.
    • Drain the water from your eggs and refrigerate until you are ready to decorate. Now Take the following steps to dye your eggs properly:
      • Add water and dye to a glass.
      • Place the egg in colour you want it to be dyed.
      • Remove the egg with a strainer or spoon.
      • Place the egg on a paper towel and allow to dry.
      • The longer the egg sits in the dye, the darker the colour will be.

Make use of your decorated Easter eggs. After you have enjoyed creating your designs, it’s time to show them off or think about fun ways you might want to use them. Look over some of the following examples to get an idea of how you can use your newly decorated Easter eggs.

  • Create a display that showcases your designs
  • Hide your Easter eggs to create a fun Easter egg hunt
  • Have a competition to see whose eggs are the best in categories such as most artistic, best design or brightest colours.

3. Travelling with your family.

If you’re looking for a slightly cheaper alternative to travel abroad, a holiday park is always a good option. With so many to choose from – Haven, Butlins, Center Parcs and Forest Holidays to name but a few, plus a whole host of independent holiday parks too – you’re sure to find somewhere to suit you and your family’s needs.

4. Easter games

Spring means Easter and Easter mean eggs! But you don’t have to restrict the fun to eating eggs of the chocolate variety – you can have lots of fun with real eggs outdoors. Aside from holding your egg-and-spoon race championship, how about playing egg catch? You’ll need an apron and some eggs.

How to play: Stand about three steps away from your partner in the garden and start playing catch with the egg. After a few throws, each player should take action back and carrying on throwing. Every couple of throws each player takes a step back until they are quite a distance from each other and the game becomes increasingly difficult! The loser is the person who fails to catch the egg, and it drops and breaks.

5. Read Easter and Spring Children’s books

Gather the kids and curl up with a good book. Search for any Book Finder tool to stock up on great children’s books about Easter, bunnies, and spring.

Happy Easter!!!

Family Weekend Activities:How to spend time with your Children

By | Parenthood | No Comments

images

Not sure what to do with your children on the weekends? Don’t worry. We have selected some activities that parents should do with children on the weekends, well when they are free from the usual commitments.

Activities to do the weekends are inexpensive and sometimes free depending on the parents and children preferences, but the main expenses would be on food whenever you are planning to eat out or pay tickets to attend live shows.

When deciding what to do on weekends, it’s essential to stick to a few guidelines:

-Social Interaction

Sometimes as Parents, we have to let the kids talk, play, and have fun with other people rather than with us. That way kids can learn healthy ways to interact, react, and deal with all types of people. For example: Let him/her play with other kids

-Back to nature & fun and funny

Of course looking at activities that are fun to do and funny to watch. But also kids should enjoy and appreciate what the mother nature has given us.

-Educational Activities

A parent should also look at those activities that children can gain from. For example by teaching children while playing you boost their creativity and their leadership.

Below are some activities that parents should do on weekends with their children.

1. Visit friends and relatives

When you meet up with friends or relatives, you always meet over lunch or dinner. Preferably, it’s important to catch up with friends who have children and are in the same age group as your children so they can play with your friend’s children and that will give time for parents to exchange notes and catch up on the latest gossip in town or in the country.

2.Park or playground and shopping

Park and playground are a good activity when you don’t have any idea. You can just drop by at a park or playground in the neighbourhood. It can be fun too to see the kids run or cycle around. An excellent way to get their butt off the couch. Shopping known as the most favourite activity for mom and kids, it’s always good to have new clothes or books, games in our collections.

3.Road trips

Kids like it because they can explore new, unexplored places. And also they can hunt for popular foods of a particular town. So they learn the history of the town and how people live in that area – live geography lessons. For road trips, you just can’t pack your bags and leave as it requires some research has to be done on places to visit and food to eat.

4.Movies and playing games or computer games.

As much as we want to help keep the movie industry alive, Kids are not crazy over movies. This activity can be done at home or in the cinema. Movies and playing games bring your family together, thereby promoting emotional bonding. That emotional bonding, in turn, opens the door to actual communication. Your children will feel much more inclined to open up to you about what is going on at school or after school or with their friends and, later, their significant others.

Skidos Team wish you a happy Friday and a great weekend ahead!
