Taking a big step towards updating its privacy protection in the kid’s category in App Store, Apple announced that it would limit data sharing in apps that are marketed to children. Earlier, the guidelines only restricted behavioral advertising tracking, but it now bans advertisements and analytics. Starting Sept. 3, 2019, apps in the children’s section of the App Store will no longer be able to integrate third-party advertising or analytics software. They also will not be allowed to transmit in-app data to third parties. This is to protect kids from being exposed to ads and to comply with laws regarding data collection of children.

A step like this is a welcome one, especially when it comes to kids, who are more vulnerable to advertising hence more likely to volunteer sensitive information. As adults, we aren’t as easily swayed away by these advertisements or surveys that pop up when we’re browsing but what about our children who are susceptible to these persistent messages.

Even while children are playing an educational game, there are plenty of other distractions like banner ads or in-app surveys. And once your children have filled out these surveys and questionnaires, who knows how the information could be used. Therefore, it is crucial to keep a check on what your children are playing or looking at on their tablets.

Since children are not capable of fully comprehending these advertisements, isn’t it just better to replace them with information that is actually going to help them? Especially in apps or games specifically designed for kids. The solution is simple, curate video or written content with a focus on learning, so they are not force-fed ads that will distract them.

Well, you’ll be glad to know that SKIDOS has been doing this long before Apple decided to do something about these ads. Since its inception in 2015, SKIDOS has been creating educational games for kids sans the ads, instead, replacing them with content that teaches them math and reading skills.

Now, you may be wondering how these games make the learning process fun and interesting for children. The learning content has been designed as a replacement for worksheets and is mapped to a popular math curriculum. When your children play these games, the content gets triggered at specific events when they have to advance in the game or win virtual currency or a special power up. Instead of looking at ads and wasting their time with these distractions, children will be able to learn various concepts like addition, subtraction or improve their vocabulary.

SKIDOS aims at improvising the entire mobile gaming process by creating educational games that are focused on making learning an exciting and fun experience for children. With 26+ fun math games like Bike Racing, Bakery, and Snow Race, your children will be able to build their mathematical and reading skills

SKIDOS also has various English learning games like ABC Town that help young kids recognize letters, colors, words, and alphabets.

Now that you’ve found fun learning games without in-app purchases and ads, go ahead and download them at https://skidos.com/subscription/.
